Once you've created your GoToll account and added your credit card and vehicle license plate details, your vehicle information will be in review. Depending on the state, the vehicle review process can take up to 24 hours. Each state has a different review process with different timelines, please keep this in mind when planning to take your first trip!
Once your vehicle has been accepted, the status will update to "verified". Please make sure your vehicle status shows "verified" before taking a trip using GoToll!
Currently, GoToll can only cover travel that has been taken after registering for the app and any the vehicle license plate has been verified. Any travel that occurred before registration cannot be paid for with GoToll.

GoToll works by reading your vehicle's license plate when entering and exiting a toll road. Following your trip, we'll send you a notification within a few days confirming your trip cost. For some roads, trips can take a week or more to come through.

Northern VirginiaPlease remember, when traveling on a road with toll booths, always use the toll pass (i.e ezpass, sunpass, etc) only lanes to pay with GoToll. The light won’t turn green when you pass through the toll pass lane, but don't worry, as long as your license plate is on your GoToll account, you are good to go.

GoToll allows you to pay for tolls if you do not have an existing toll account, tag or pass. If you use GoToll, please make sure you're not also using another toll pass or account.
If you already have a toll pass, and you are a driver who frequents toll roads, you may want to stick with your current toll pass account. In that case, be sure not to also have a GoToll account.

All data is managed in accordance with Transurban’s existing privacy policy. GoToll uses a PCI-DSS compliant payments processor.
You can manage your saved credit cards under Payment options. You need at least one saved credit card to use GoToll.
Yes, you sure can. The app will track toll travel on all license plates registered to your account. You can add, remove or change vehicle details under More > My vehicles. Just remember, you’re responsible for all GoToll trips taken by your registered license plate(s). Don't forget to remove any vehicles you no longer want GoToll to track so you’re not charged unnecessarily.
Don't worry, as long as:
you won't receive a toll notice requesting you to pay outside of the app. You'll receive a notification within a few days of taking the trip from GoToll that your trip is ready for payment. For some roads, trips can take up to a week or two to come through.
You do not need to have your phone on in order to use GoToll. As long as you travel on a road that accepts GoToll, your app access isn't blocked (due to previous overdue trips), an your vehicle is registered and verified in the state in which you are taking a trip, you're good to use GoToll.

Open the notification and click the Pay button. If you don’t pay after you receive the payment notification, don't worry, your trips will automatically be charged to your default credit card within 48 hours of your trip notification.
GoToll is set up so you can pay as you go. Once you've taken a trip, you'll get reminders to pay before the trip becomes overdue. If you don’t get a chance or forget to pay, we’ll automatically charge your default credit card within 48 hours of your trip notification.
No, don't worry. You can update your payment method up to 48 hours after you receive your trip notification.
If you paid cash for your trip, you will not need to pay through GoToll. Remember, to use GoToll to pay, you'll need to use the toll pass only lanes.

If you receive an invoice from a toll road while you were using GoToll, please contact GoToll Customer Support by going to More > Get in touch. We will help you out.
If you don’t pay for your trip when it becomes available, we will automatically charge your default credit card within 48 hours. If the payment method fails, we will send you a notification to update your card. If the trip is not paid for within 48 hours after that, you will be blocked from using GoToll.
This happens if payments are overdue. GoToll sends a notification when your trip is ready for payment. If you don’t pay for your trip when it becomes available, we will automatically charge your default credit card within 48 hours. If that transaction fails, we’ll let you know and give you another 48 hours to make payment.
At the end of those two days, if payment still hasn’t gone through, we’ll let you know that you’ve been blocked. While blocked, travel taken by any of your registered vehicles won't be tracked by the app and you may receive a toll violation. You'll need to pay all outstanding trips to unblock the app and continue using it.
